Not everyone is affected by suicide but anyone can be affected by suicide. There is also a huge ripple effect.
An average of 135 people are impacted by each suicide death which means more than 800,000 people in the UK are affected by a suicide death every year.
For each suicide death, around 20 people make suicide attempts. Research suggests that most people who attempt to take their own lives do not want to die, they simply want to escape the intense mental or physical pain they are suffering. People in crisis often feel hopelessly trapped and need support through their crisis.
Take the Million Steps Challenge, feel good and do good by helping The Jordan Legacy work with those with lived experience of suicide, those already working in suicide prevention, governments, communities and workplaces to create hope through action and get the annual suicide death toll on a downward trend.
Jordan was my stepson and I want to help raise awareness for suicide prevention so that more families don’t have to go through the same devastating consequence …

"Such a pleasure seeing your kind face on this page, Laurence. And judging from that, I'm sure you've been a wonderful Mom to have. I vividly feel your and your family's loss of Jordan's former presence, and commend your family for deciding, like we have, to share your experience with others and contribute in any way possible to their path being somewhat brighter. Please never tire and keep going. Margot and Harald Walter Azmann | A Chance for Happiness Foundation"
