The current lockdown has plunged Rennie Grove into financial crisis. All the income generated from our charity shops, and all fundraising events and community activity stopped overnight in March.
But the demands on our service to care for people with life-limiting illnesses has increased, especially as a result of the stress that has been put on the health care system. Covid-19 may have affected our organisation but it can't hold us down!
The world has changed so must we and we've launched our very own virtual Million Steps Challenge! If you want to shake off those Lockdown Blues, join us for the ultimate Summer walking challenge and #DoGoodandFeelGood.
Your support and fundraising are needed now more than ever before:
£215 could fund a shift for a specialist hospice at home nurse,
£28.50 could fund an hour of specialist nursing care in a patient’s home,
£9.50 could fund 20 minutes of specialist care
About Barbara
As you all know I am a volunteer for and a supporter of Rennie Grove Hospice Care.
Like so many charities at this time planned fundraising events have not been able to take place.
During the lockdown I have been walking most days, so when I saw this challenge I thought it could be a good way to raise funds for the charity as well as attempting to reach the target of walking a million steps in 100 consecutive days!
