About Us

We started the Inspiration North podcast to share inspiring stories from inspirational people and how they found their passion. It has grown from there and includes face-to-face and online events. More in the months ahead. Our overriding mission is to help people to create happier, more fulfilling lives.

We are trustees of the PIE Project charity and wanted to help find a fun way to raise funds that go into supporting primary school aged children to have a challenge to learn real world, entrepreneurial skills.

In launching the Inspiration North One Million Steps challenge we want to get people moving, create a community and competition, plus raise money for a great North East cause.

We are really competitive...who is up for the challenge?

About PIE Project

The PIE Challenge is run by the PIE Project Charity (Primary Inspiration through Enterprise). Started in 2013, the first participants were 4 schools in Walker, Newcastle Upon Tyne that came together to set up and run a shop. Since then the programme has worked with over 50 schools and 3,000 pupils.

Mission
Delivering enterprise and STEM challenges in partnership with schools and business.
We will provide a clear and consistent framework that enables young people to learn in a fun and engaging approach, recognises strengths and allows business to use its expertise to bring education to life.

Vision
We aim to help young people aged 6-16 years old to realise their ambitions and raise aspirations through providing real life enterprise experiences delivered holistically in association with parents, pupils, teachers and businesses to ultimately ensure future work forces are aware of emerging opportunities and adequately prepared for the world of work.

The Million Steps Challenge:

Your Life, Your Challenge, Your Way™

Walking is great for our physical and mental health. But we tell ourselves we can’t find the time, we’re tired, we’ll start tomorrow.

But, big things can happen from very small beginnings. Walk, jog, run or even dance your way to a million steps. It all adds up to an awesome 500 miles!

Challenge yourself, compete with friends, and even raise money for a good cause. No more travelling to events, overnight stays, worries about training, expensive entry costs or high fundraising targets.
